OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Meet Teddy and Kelly.

Jerad “Teddy” Wheeler

CO-OWNER, FOUNDER & HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Teddy discovered grappling at Georgia State University and continued his training under Master Roberto Traven. His background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, competition, and law enforcement informs his approach to teaching practical skills, awareness, and problem-solving. He runs the academy with his wife, Kelly, and is committed to helping students build confidence through learning and consistent practice.

Kelly Wheeler

CO-OWNER & COACH

Kelly trained under Master Roberto Traven’s affiliation with Coach Denise Houle and earned third place at the 2019 IBJJF Masters World Championship. Her work as a school psychologist and massage therapist brings an understanding of learning, confidence, and movement to her coaching. She enjoys helping students discover the strategy, challenge, and enjoyment of Jiu-Jitsu.

Our Approach

LEARN THROUGH PRACTICE
